Mast Cell Infiltration and Leukotriene Receptor Expression in Various Tumors: Possible Clinical Application of Common Pathological Findings Concerned with Tumor Development

چکیده
Since the mechanisms of the developmental processes of tumors remain unclear, early detection and early treatment of the tumors is necessary to save patients with malignant tumors. Therapies currently available to patients are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. However, there are many patients who cannot be saved by such therapies. In this study, we found the common features of various tumor tissues, and we demonstrated the effect of therapeutics that target them by using experimental rats with spontaneous tumors. 26 kinds of human tumors (epithelial or mesenchymal origin, and malignant or benign) and Sprague-Dawley rats with spontaneous mammary gland tumors were examined by light and electron microscope. To detect of mast cells and leukotriene receptor, toluidine blue stain and immunohistochemical stain were performed. The rats were orally administered one of leukotriene receptor antagonists. We found that the presence of numerous mast cells and expression of leukotriene receptors in various tumor (human tumors and rat spontaneous tumors). And the therapeutic effects, which suppressed not only tumor progress but also angiogenesis and nerve formation, for rat tumors by administration of leukotriene receptor antagonist could obtain. Our data suggest the possibility that allergic reactions, in which leukotriene and leukotriene receptors in particular appear to play an important role, are involved in the development and progression of tumors and that it may be possible to control tumor progression by regulating such reactions. Our results might be useful for clinical applications of oncotherapy. Corresponding author.

Mast Cell Infiltration and Leukotriene Receptor Expression in Colorectal Adenoma: Preventive Application of Malignant Transformation Based on Common Pathological Findings
The main therapies for malignant tumors are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. However, we cannot save all patients with these therapies. Therefore, early detection and early treatment are thought to be the most important factors for managing malignant tumors. Furthermore, benign tumors are treated by surgical removal, if necessary, and the patient then receives periodic examinations to d...
متن کاملEstrogen Receptor Expression in Glial Tumors of Iranian Patients: A Single Center Experience
Background & Objective: Gliomas are the most common type of primary intracranial tumors in adults. The expression of estrogen receptors varies in different grades of glial tumors, and some studies have suggested that this expression might have a prognostic value. It seems that estrogen receptor expression negatively correlates with the histological grade of gliomas. In the pres...

Background:Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common malignancy of the oral cavity. Despite some improvements in treatment, the survival rate is still very low, mainly due to the possible development of secondary malignancy or metastasis. Clinical and pathological features as well as molecular biomarkers might predict the recurrence. In recent years, many studies ...

Background: Previous data have shown the tumorigenicity roles of HDAC8 in breast cancer. More recently, the oncogenic effects of this molecule have been revealed in TNBC. The present study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of HDAC8 for the differentiation of TNBC from nTNBC tumors. Methods: A total of 50 cancerous and normal adjacent tumor specimens were obtained, and the clinical and pat...
